Copyright has a huge impact on how someones work may be perceived. Someone who creates some type of work and copyrights it means they now own the work. This owner of the work is in charge of how it is distributed out to the public. They can decide if it is free or has a price and they can decide who can use their work. There are ways that copy right work is free, as this is generally through Fair Use Guidelines. Fair Use Guidelines are the acceptable use of copyrighted materials without gaining direct permission from the owner of the copyright. Fair use is generally granted for the purposes of research, teaching, and scholarship. It is important for teachers to understand the meaning of both of these things because teachers often use other people's work in their lesson plans. What teachers can do to prevent plagiarism is use Fair Use Guidelines and implement some of their ideas into it. Teachers should go into detail with their students about using their own work depending on the assignment and grade level of the class.

Technology is becoming more relevant in classrooms and younger ages as the years go on, this can cause more problems. Two of these problems are cyberbullying and academic dishonesty. Cyberbullying is a very common issue in today's society, especially through social media platforms. As kids are presented technology most of them create a social media account. Kids use social media accounts to connect with friends, but unfortunately in some cases they also use it to bully other kids. A way that I could keep cyberbullying out of my future classroom is by communicating with my students parents. What I mean by this is having parents keep track of their kids social media accounts to check for cyberbullying, if I believe that a certain kid might be going through it. If I were to find out that someone was cyberbullying another student in my classroom I would communicate with higher administration to talk about a fair punishment for that student. Now academic dishonesty, with more technology in classrooms kids have access to more information. I think a good way to keep this out of my classroom is by going over the consequences that will happen if someone is academically dishonest. I also think that it is important to implement ways to check for this such as "Turn it in" which checks for plagiarism.

The newsletter design assignment taught me how to use many of different features on MS word. Some of these features being shading, paragraph columns, and using different designs. I think a way that I could improve my newsletter in the future is by using a different layout. I think my layout was good, but I feel that I could of maybe made it look even more like a newsletter. I could do this by messing with the layout and design feature on MS word until I find something that I like. I think the skills learned from this assignment will help me complete MS word documents a lot quicker than before because now I am aware of more features.
